C-Mode Guide
I)
Terms
II) Items
III) Materials
IV) Weapons
V)
Other Items
This is the first of several cmode
guides that will give people the know how to beat c mode
and get an srank.
Rather than make one big guide on cmode I have
decide to make several guides on the different parts of
cmode. I've done this for three reasons. One; it will
make it easier to find the info you need on a part of
cmode. Its not cool when you have to look at a large
document for one bit of info. Two; these guides will do
you more good if you read them before you do cmode. Last
school isn't making it easy for me to make one big guide
, so several small guides will be easier to get
out. I will also update these guides as necessary.
I)
First off some terms to know in cmode and little info on
them.
Most of these are terms used in cmode. Also some of
these terms may be called something else by other
cmoders. Some of these terms i made up to describe
something in cmode. Some of these terms are not cmode
terms but are good to know for cmode. In some of the
other guides, I show the terms that are important to
that guide again. For example dmc is shown here and will
be shown in the cmode combat guide.
mate check / scape doll
check: When someone
asks for this, they want to know how many mates and
dolls you and the rest of your team has left. The
response looks something like this: 7 3 2. In this
example its 7 monos 3 dis and 2 scapes.
tp die:
When a force needs tp one of the ways they can get it
all back is to die on purpose and let a doll gib back
the tp. Forces should be aware they may not be able to
do this in every area of cmode. This is used mainly in
the later areas of ep1 cmode.
old door:
This is used to describe the door in which the team
entered the current room. This one isnt used much, but
its good to know when you're telling someone you dropped
an item in the door you just came in.
new door:
This is used to describe the door in which the team will
be exiting the current room. Like new door not used much
but good to know. Items that you are giving to someone
else should be dropped in the new door.
grave:
In the event you die without a doll you fail the area
and are taken back to p2. The next time you do the area
with that character a grave marker will appear were you
died. Sometimes these give mates and fluids. Vet cmoders
will sometimes make these on purpose so that they can
get free mates and fluids.
fake wall:
In some of the stages of cmode there are areas that have
walls you can walk thru. Sometimes you need to go thru a
fake wall to progress in the area, other times its just
a room with goodies. There are also fake walls that lead
to rooms that are a complete waste of time.
mag swap:
When two chars swap mags. This is done to give hus more
ata and ras more atp.
mag feed:
Feeding a mag antis. In some areas you dont need the
antis you start with. These can be used to feed the mag
of some who needs the ata. Antis and sometimes sols are
the only thing you feed your mag. Never fluids and never
mates.
damage cancel or dmc:
When two people hit a target at the same time it causes
damage cancel. When this happens the target gets no
damage or at the most less than what is shown on the
screen. (more on this later in a later guide)
time attack or TA:
Time attack is when a cmode team wants to get thru an
area as quickly as possible. This is something that the
cmode elite do. If you have little to no cmode
experience and see a game that looks like this, you
should think twice about joining them. ep1 c2 TA Don't
be surprised if someone yells at you if you do something
noobish in one of these games.
freeze break:
When a you get frozen and break out of the ice before it
normally wears off. This trick is done by pressing left
and right very quickly. For example if you on a keyboard
your left maybe A and your right maybe D. You would just
mashes these buttons quickly to freeze break. This trick
isn't hard, and you will know if you did it right. In
the unlikely event you get frozen, this one can be VERY
useful to know.
top tier character:
basically a character in cmode that is really good in
cmode.
low tier character:
a character that can be difficult to take thru cmode.
Warning: Cmode vets may not like the presence of said
chars in their cmode teams.
sticky: These are the traps that stick to you
above your charater's head and slow down your movement.
II)
Next on to items
In cmode the force is the one that gets items from the
boxes. The force the drops these the items for the rest
of the team in the new doors or the door were the team
will leave the room. In cmode its important to share
items. Giving the right items to the right person on the
team can make a big difference. Don't be a greedy little
humar if you have a powerful buster and can't use it
. Give it to the buff cast that's on your team.
When giving items to someone else drop it in a door and
make sure they get it. You should also call out the
items you find that could be of use.
character class have dibs on certain items as well.
III) materials:
pow mats: hus, maybe a ra depending on the type of ra.
def mats: hus
evd mats: hus
mind mats: fos
tp mats: fos
hp mats: fos if there is a boss at the end of the stage,
otherwise hus get these.
luck mats: hucast, then other hus
Hus get the pow, def, evd, and luck mats cause they need
them more than all the other classes. Ras may get pow
mats but only to use a sabre. This doesn't happen very
often either since ras stay away from enemies and shoot
them with their gun. Tps and mind mats go to hunews then
ramarls if there is no fo.
IV)
weapons:
Not all weapons are great in cmode. I don't care if you
have a favourite weapon type you like to use in the main
game, get use to what is in cmode. Make sure you pay
attention to the percents of the weps you find. Percents
on weapons in cmode can be a lot higher than the normal
game. I've been in ruins games were a 100 dark railgun
was found.
sabres: hucast, then whatever hu can equip.
daggers: hucaseal
swords: if it has hit % hucast otherwise hucaseal
(Warning: you may not want to use a sword that has no
hit in the first place.)
partisans: hus, these tend to useful if a starting
sword's ata is too low for your taste.
slicers: no one. These do more dmc that actual damage.
Only real use is to allow android hus to trigger thier
traps sooner.
handguns: ras, then hucaseals
rifles: ras, pay attention to % if the handgun you hv
has no % and the rifle has sick % go with the rifle.
mechguns: hus if theirs is hit %, then ras
shots: no one. same reason as slicers
fo weps: Other than the small mst boost in wands; these
aren't very useful to begin with. If they have a GOOD
special (tp drain, hp drain, dim on the right enemies,
fire, lighting, are a few decent ones) and hit % then
use them.
V)
other items that are found.
grinders: go to sabers, daggers and any high end mechs
the hus are using. The weapon the grinders go to can
change in some areas. (ep1 c4 they go to the hus swords)
techs: fos get these first, then hunews, then ramarls.
antipars and antidoes go to whatever class is mag
feeding in areas where they are not needed.
sol atomizers go to fos in areas were they need to be
able to resta (if they hv it, ep1 c6 good example at vol
opt). if these arent needed then they're mag food too.
Armor units are passed out like materials. Most go to
the hus and ras are left out in the cold. Keep in mind,
the armor with the most slots goes to who will make the
most good out of the units. Any tech resists should go
to the fos starting with the fonews, then who ever has
the lowest hp.
