okay so as some of you
might know, we now have a teamspeak server.
If you have no clue what to do, this is it:
PLEASE NOTE. The server is
*NOT* PG rated. It is not moderated, and only
extreme cases of abuse will be dealt with. Cursing
is allowed, and flaming to some extent.
When you first download teamspeak from our
"Downloads section", or
Here, you will have to connect to the server.
To do this, go to:
1. Connection
2. Quick Connect
3. Type in the IP box: jemts.no-ip.info
4. Type in a username. Do not type in the optional
one
Then hit connect. You will find yourself in the
room.
II) Registering
In these rooms, for certain features you have to
register. Only server admins can give you the right to
register. (Current server admins: Ruby Eclipse, Dark
Diamond, Eambo)
Whenever you get given the right to register, go to:
1. Self
2. Register on Server
3. Type in your details, and hit okay
Voila, your
now registered on the TS server!
III)
Setting up
Whenever you first get teamspeak, your mic will activate
due to sound level. This is not what you want.
go to:
1. "Settings"
2. "Sound input/output settings"
3. "Voice send method" put it to "push to talk" the
usual button people use is CTRL, so set it to that
And now your teamspeak is set up!
IV)Troubleshooting
some people have had a lot of problem with their mics
being muted. Don't ask why, but windows xp does this a
lot.
If you have this problem:
1. double click your speaker icon in the bottom right
2. If microphone isn't there, go to "options"
3. Scroll down the list and check "Microphone"
4. make sure your microphone volume is up, and not muted
V)Logging in again
Okay so you have made it this
far. You have registered etc. You left the room, and you
want to reconnect. Use the same process, quick connect
etc.
When you get to the log in screen, Your optional name is
now the one you registered with. Your password is the
one you registered with. Enjoy!
