Now, I'm sure most people will agree with me that when it comes to chatting, Clan Chat doesn't quite cut it. Which is why I have decided to set up our very own jeM IRC room! This can be accessed on the "chat" link to the top and left of this announcement, alternatively there are other ways to access it documented in the forums themselves under "Clan Chat Information". Be sure to join!
Basically the system was quite new not only to you guys, but to me also. After installing a few upgrades and modifying things to work with our boards, I think the system is now ready to be worked on. The core of the system is obviously important - we don't want a great game that doesn't work! So what I intend to do is test through everything as best I can, make sure spells, links etc. work, then we'll implement the items, weapons, armours, monsters etc. =-) The more people who help the better, we squish the bugs faster! So if you're bored or just on the forums, test the links etc. make sure it all works!
After a request from a member (CoughCaplin) I decided to change the shoutbox. Honestly I wanted to change it too - the old one had a lot of nice features but a lot of them you had to pay for, it had a limit of shouts on the basic version, and there's no way to change font color (which I know a lot of you love!)
I've got the new shoutbox up and running, and it uses the simply tags to change the colors! Now for the negative part:
As you may have noticed, it's disappeared from the main page. The main reason for this is because it is a forum add on, and because of that, it only works on the forum =-P I'm shifting through the code to try and find out how to embed it beyond the forums, but as you all know my laptop use is very limited, which is where I do all my forum work. I've got a new charger on the way, but it'll take 2/3 days to come unfortunately, so don't expect it up before then!
I would like to welcome everyone to "jeM Rising". For those of you who haven't figured it out yet, this is going to be the last attempt at a revival at jeM, and hopefully the last one needed. jeM has been around on and off since 2002 in Runescape, and has since branched off to many games. At one time all the branches were united, however with each branch failing to pull together to make one big community, things had to change, and the jeM Runescape branch eventually died. After a while I made another attempt at reviving jeM, in which again a lot of old members joined back again. However due to a conflict in views, some members left to make their own clan, which became known as "Phoenix Rising". With this split came the end of jeM once again, and a few months later Phoenix Rising too had it's last party. Now, we are making one last ditch attempt to bring jeM back out of the ashes, and hopefully the old members of Phoenix Rising with it to. Welcome to the Era of jeM Rising!
